Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to Banyan AI, a subscription-based SaaS platform offering AI-powered data access, automation, and integrations.

Overview

Banyan AI operates on a subscription and usage-based model. By purchasing a subscription or credits, you acknowledge that access to the platform, infrastructure, and third-party services (including AI and API providers) is provisioned immediately upon activation.

As a general rule, payments for subscriptions, credits, and usage are non-refundable. This is due to the instant allocation of computing resources, AI tokens, and third-party costs that cannot be reversed.

Free Trials and Evaluation

Where offered, free trials or limited free tiers are provided to allow customers to evaluate Banyan AI before committing to a paid plan. Customers are expected to use these options to assess suitability.

Refund requests based solely on dissatisfaction after active usage of the paid service will generally not be approved.

Non-Refundable Items

The following are strictly non-refundable:

  • Subscription fees after the service has been activated
  • Consumed or partially consumed credits
  • Usage-based charges (including AI model usage, API calls, or compute time)
  • Setup fees, onboarding fees, or custom configuration work
  • Discounted, promotional, or early-access plans

Exceptional Refunds (Limited & Discretionary)

In rare and exceptional cases, Banyan AI may, at its sole discretion, issue a partial or full refund for the customer’s most recent billing period only.

Such refunds may be considered only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The request is submitted within 14 days of the relevant billing date
  • The issue materially prevented core platform functionality for the customer
  • The issue was caused by Banyan AI (not third-party outages, misconfiguration, or user error)
  • The customer actively cooperated with Banyan AI support to resolve the issue

Examples of situations where a discretionary refund may be granted include:

  • Extended, platform-wide outages affecting essential functionality
  • Critical defects that make the core service unusable for an extended period
  • Incorrect billing caused by a verified system error

Refunds will not be granted for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Lack of usage or adoption within the customer’s organization
  • Change of business strategy or internal priorities
  • Misunderstanding of product capabilities or limitations
  • Issues caused by third-party services, APIs, or LLM providers

Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. Processing times depend on the payment provider and may take several business days.

Banyan AI does not guarantee immediate posting of refunded amounts by banks or payment processors.

Plan Changes and Cancellations

Customers may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused time, credits, or remaining quota.

Downgrades apply to future billing cycles only.
